Vutek File Preparation Guide

Please Include:
• Hardcopy or a PDF of your layout.
• All support (placed, imported or embedded) files, screen and printer fonts along with layout in one folder on disk.
• Note any critical PMS colors or color matches.
• PMS colors should be from the Pantone Solid Coated Library (pantone 186 C).
• Indication of bleed and final trim size.

Layout:
• Your files should be setup at a size proportionate to the final output i.e. full size, half size, quarter size, eighth size.
• Create large mural images on one complete page, do not tile onto a multi-page document.
• Always include bleed in the layout.
• Use RGB color working space.
• Any black (in vector art) to be made up of 25c 25m 25y 100k.

Raster Files:
• 150 dpi at final size is recommended, however 100 dpi is often acceptable.
• Files should be RGB tif if not placed into a page layout program and RGB eps if placed into a page layout program.
• Clipping paths should be concise without using too many points.
• Leave all layers intact, do not flatten files.
• Do not save files with LZW or any other compression.
• Convert any text to paths especially when using Windows files.
